Today, we learned about lateral thinking. Lateral thinking is  solving problems trough an indirect and creative approach, using reasoning that is not immediately obvious, and involving ideas that may be obtainable by using only traditional step-by-step logic. Furthermore, lateral thinking are thinking outside the box, to have the ability to think creatively involving discard the obvious, throwing away preconceptions, use inspiration and imagination to solve problems by looking at them from unexpected perspectives.

Secondly, We did some class activities about lateral thinking.
Use only 4lines to connect the 9 dots without lifting the pencil. This is not easy as many people may think that the lines have to be within or just at the boarder of the 9 dots, including myself. However,
the answer is to think outside the box, and imagined there were a lot of dots around the 9 dot to connect the 9 dots using 4 lines and without lifting the pencil.

This is another exercise, to trace the design in one continuous line without crossing a line. After previous exercise, this was easier than I thought.
Lateral thinking exercises was getting easier through the above exercises by thinking unusually.
Rearrange three golfballs so that the triangular pattern points down instead of up.
These exercises trained us to think and solve problems not just directly but also unusually.
